Juana Guzman is an Argentine artist based in Berlin, Germany. Her work is shaped by impressions, memories and an ongoing exploration of nature and transformation.
Experimentation is central to her artistic practice. Rather than committing to a single medium, she continually explores different techniques and materials. Painting, monotype, drawing and printmaking offer different possibilities for translating impressions and memories into visual form. Colour, texture, gesture and chance all become part of this process.
Nature is a recurring point of departure. Landscapes, foliage and organic forms emerge not as direct representations, but through remembered places, fleeting observations and accumulated impressions. In the process of making, these elements may shift, dissolve or take on new forms.
Her work develops intuitively, often without a predetermined outcome. Moving between techniques allows unexpected connections to emerge and keeps the process open to discovery. Across these different approaches, Guzman is interested in transformation — in how something experienced or remembered can become something new through the act of making.
